cancer care doesn’t exist in a vacuum. it’s shaped by systems — regulatory, reimbursement, health technology assessment, public policy — that often reinforce disparities. we focus on the structural gaps- who gets access, who gets left out, and who gets to decide. understanding the problem clearly is the first step to changing it.

policy doesn’t shift on its own. the cancer collaborative informs change by connecting data to lived experience. we work to influence how decisions are made — and who they’re made for.
the cancer collaborative doesn’t work in isolation. funders and partners help keep the work going — supporting advocacy that’s grounded in evidence, shaped by lived experience, and focused on impact. if you're committed to improving cancer care in real, measurable ways, let’s work together.

chief change officer
sabrina hanna is the founder and chief change officer of the cancer collaborative, a not-for-profit think tank challenging how we think about, design, and deliver cancer care. systems evolve through collaboration — and a shared willingness to disrupt what no longer works.

her work lives at the intersection of policy, innovation, and collaboration. she builds the spaces — and the language — that bring partners together to rethink what progress in cancer care can look like.

under her direction, the cancer collaborative has become a catalyst for reimagining cancer policy in canada and beyond. its work brings together policy, evidence, and human experience to confront some of the most entrenched challenges in oncology — from how innovation is assessed and funded, to how patients are heard and represented in the decisions that shape their care.

focusing on precision oncology, health technology assessment, patient experience, and access to innovation, sabrina’s approach connects insight to action and ideas to influence. part strategist, part designer, she builds frameworks that make complexity navigable and narratives that move systems forward — with patients as co-architects in the solutions that shape their care.
